ABOUT THE PROJECT
ABOUT US

Syrian Soundscape Archive
A digital archive documenting the Syrian soundscape across time — from natural sounds and daily life to traditional music and historical events. A project dedicated to preserving Syria's acoustic memory and making it accessible to researchers and the public.
VISION
We believe sound is an integral part of cultural identity. We aim to build a comprehensive audio archive preserving Syria's sounds for future generations.
METHODOLOGY
We collect recordings from volunteer contributors and field researchers, with precise documentation of geographic location and temporal-historical context for each recording.
OPEN ACCESS
All recordings are available for research and educational use under Creative Commons licenses. We believe acoustic heritage belongs to everyone.
